Innovative Communication Corporation is a diversified, trendsetting
telecommunications and media company with major holdings in the U.S.
Virgin Islands, throughout the Caribbean and in France. In April
2001, Innovative Telephone Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary headquartered
in St. Croix, USVI, became the first telecom in the U.S. to provide
residential and business customers with local, long distance and
wireless telephone services, cable television and high-speed Internet
access including DSL. It is the largest privately owned telephone
company in the U.S. In its March/April 2001 issue, TeleTimes magazine
wrote: “Innovative
Communication Corp. is making the changes that other companies in the
industry are only dreaming about.” ICC also owns the Virgin
Islands Daily News, a Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper, and TV-2
cable television, both on St. Thomas, USVI. ICC is the second largest
employer in the U.S. Virgin Islands with 660 people.
