Questions about Dial-Up

1. I don't see my VI PowerNet bill in the mail so, where do I get my bill?
The VI PowerNet bill comes to your VI PowerNet e-mail address. To access your e-mail online go to link Message Center and click on it. You'll be asked for a username and password. Enter your e-mail username and your login password. From there you'll be into a page that says SUN ACCESS, click on the second mail icon to allow you into the online web mail. If you use another e-mail address like Hotmail, call us so that we can forward the billing to that address.

2. Can I send someone or do I have to personally come in to make a payment?
When customer is making payments, the person who is paying must put the name of theaccount holder on the payment sheet.

3. What is my setup information?
Customers will be provided a CD or diskette with a Setup program for Windows that automatically configures the following information into your system: Your e-mail address; POP3 (outgoing mail) server; SMTP (incoming mail) server; Connection protocol; Default home page

4. Is there a startup fee?
There is no startup fee.

5. Where can I go to sign up for the Innovative PowerNet service?
At the following locations:
St. Thomas: VitelCellular: #2 Beltjen Place, St. Thomas, VI 00801
Vitelcom: Buccaneer Mall, St. Thomas, VI 00801
St. Croix: VitelCellular: Orange Grove Shopping Center, St. Croix, VI 00820

6. Where can I go to make payments for the Innovative PowerNet service?
Same locations as signup but also if you have a Banco Popular account you can pay by phone.

7. What programs should I have in order to access the internet?
You're going to need a web browser like Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator.

8. Are there any applications that I can't use?
No

9. What is included with the Innovative PowerNet service?
- Free e-mail account (1)
- 5 MB free web space

10. If I choose to go with Innovative PowerNet, can I keep the e-mail address I have at my current Internet Provider or will I get a new address?
This really depends on the policies at your current ISP. Some ISP's will forward your old address for up to one year free of charge, others will discontinue your e-mail address as soon as you cancel your account. You'll have a new e-mail address with VIPowerNet when you first signup.

11. What will my new e-mail address look like?
Your new e-mail address will be in this format:
username@vitelcom.net
Where "username" is a unique identifier that you choose that is between 5 and 16 characters.

12. How many mailboxes can one account have?
There is no limit to the number of mailboxes per account. But there is a small charge for extra mailboxes.

13. Is there somewhere I can see the product before I agree to sign-up (Do you have a demo)?
Yes. At the following locations: Vitel Cellular (St Thomas & St. Croix)

14. Do you have support and if so, what are your support hours?
Yes we have support and our support hours are 8AM – 10PM Mon-Fri and 9AM – 2PM on Saturdays.

15. How can I contact support for help?

16. How do I get a personal web page?
Call VIPowerNet and provide us with a desired Login User name (maximum 8 characters) and a desired password.
For additional web space, you can obtain the form at one of the locations listed above and fax the completed form to 774-4583 or return it to one of our Customer Service Representatives.

17.What modems do you support?
We support all modems from 14 Kbps to V.90 modems

18. Do I have to configure any software?
NO. A setup program is provided (see number 2)

19. What are the minimum system requirements?
Operating system: Windows 95/98/2000/XP/NT
Memory: 32MB RAMDisk space (free): 300MBProcessor: Pentium 60Modem: 14.4 Kbps
