Communicator: From the Edit menu, select Preferences.
Under Mail & Newsgroups
on the left, select "Identity".
If you do not see "Identity" , click the plus sign (+)
or triangle (for Mac users) to display more categories; select "Identity."
Enter
a name in the "Your name" text box.
Enter your email address
in the "Email address" text
box: username@vipowernet.net
Under Mail & Newsgroups on the
left, click Mail Servers.
Enter your Outgoing mail server in the "Outgoing
mail (SMTP) server" text box: mail.vipowernet.net
In the Outgoing
mail server username box fill in your email username
If your server
is not listed under "Incoming Mail Servers," click
the "Add..." button and fill out the text fields appropriately.
If
your incoming mail server is listed, you can click on it to select
it and then click the "Edit..." button to change
its settings.
Click OK in all preference windows to save your changes.
